Overview
Dose GLP-1 (doseglp1.com) is a consumer health information site. We collect minimal data, do not sell it, and do not share it with advertisers. This policy explains what we collect and why.
What We Collect
Email address — if you subscribe to the weekly digest. We store your address in our database solely to send the newsletter. We do not append demographic data, share your address with third parties, or use it for any purpose other than sending the digest and transactional messages (e.g., an unsubscribe confirmation).
Contact form submissions — name, email, and message text you voluntarily provide. Used only to reply to your message. Not stored beyond what our email system retains.
Analytics data — page views, referrer, browser/device type, and approximate geographic region (country/city level), collected via:
- Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-96MKZZRJL1) — subject to Google's privacy policy. IP addresses are anonymized by default in GA4.
- Matomo — self-hosted on our own server. Data stays on our infrastructure and is not shared with third parties. IP addresses are anonymized.
We do not collect names, precise location, financial information, or any health data.
Cookies
We use cookies for analytics only. No advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, no cross-site tracking.
- Google Analytics sets
_gaand_ga_*cookies (expire in 2 years and 13 months respectively) to distinguish visitors. - Matomo sets
_pk_id.*(13 months) and_pk_ses.*(30 minutes) cookies for session tracking.
You can opt out of Google Analytics via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. You can opt out of Matomo tracking in the widget below, or by enabling Do Not Track in your browser (Matomo honors DNT).
Third-Party Services
- Cloudflare — CDN and DDoS protection. Cloudflare processes requests passing through its network per its privacy policy.
- Google Fonts — fonts are loaded from Google's servers. Google may log the request per its privacy policy.
- Google Analytics — as described above.
We do not use advertising networks, affiliate tracking pixels, or social media share buttons that set cookies.
Newsletter
The weekly digest is sent to subscribers who opt in via the subscribe form. Each email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email us directly to be removed. We do not rent, sell, or share subscriber lists.
Data Retention
Subscriber email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained for 26 months in Google Analytics (per our account settings) and 24 months in Matomo, after which it is automatically deleted. Contact form submissions are retained only as long as the associated email thread exists.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact us using the form on the About page. We will respond within 30 days.
If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you have additional rights under GDPR/UK GDPR, including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be noted in the weekly digest.
